Located in Louvain-la- Neuve
The Institute is located in one of the most renowned University towns. Thus students have access to the entire U.C.L. infrastructure (library, sports, culture and animations).
Apprenticeship of languages at different levels.
The mastery of foreign languages is indispensable in the fields of tourism, hotel management and event management. In the preparatory semester and in the first year, the apprenticeship of a language is done within same-level groups:
English, Dutch, Spanish, German.
Courses in tourism geography are given in English and in Dutch in the first and second year.
- English written and oral, preparation for the TOEFL Test.
Technical Week: an opportunity to meet with professionals.
As members of a working group, second year students must respond to a tender and work on a realistic case of incoming in Belgium: seminars, lodging, transport and protocol, social programme, animations and events. These recommendations are assessed by a jury of external professionals and must be presented in three languages.
Internship and Dissertation
We believe that practising and experiencing the professional environment are essential and that is the reason why students of all sections need to complete a long-term internship (during 6 months at least) in Belgium or abroad.
The capacity to carry out research on one’s own, to synthesize information and to write effectively will be enhanced thanks to the drafting and the defence of an end- of- studies dissertation.
The Week–end discovery: an opportunity of exchange and training.
After the beginning of the academic year in October, students and professors participate in a week-end filled with cultural and sports activities, visits and seminars. This is considered one of the highlights of the academic year.
IATA Learning Center
The Institute is an IATA/FUAAV approved center which prepares students to complete the IATA exam, a diploma which is an international reference of professional training for travel agents.
